About The Book
Sera is the last runner from Earth, bringing badly needed supplies to the Tharassas Colony across a twenty-five year gulf between the planets. Jas works on a hencha farm to make ends meet, harvesting berries from the semi-sentient plants.
Neither one that knows their lives—and worlds—are about to change forever.
The only negative I have about this novella is that it is a novella. I need more!
I felt like I was so immersed in the crazy fabulous world building, I was falling into the story of Jas and Sera, I was intrigued by the political background and the interactions these women had on the planet, and then it was done. Sigh.
I don’t know how Coatsworth managed to squeeze all of this into less than 100 pages, but he did. In the middle of all of that, this little book addresses race issues in a very delicate way. If this ever gets expanded into a longer story I am signing up to get it first.
Science fiction fans will love this novella. Go add it to your library. 4.5 stars.
rvmelissIn writing this bio I am taking a rare break from reading! I always have a book on hand just in case there is time to sneak in a chapter or two. As a military spouse and a mom of two boys, it is amazing how often I am hurrying up to wait. Luckily for me I don’t have a favorite genre so I get lots of fun authors to choose from. My education was in sociology and mental health counseling, so stories with strong character development are my favorites. Happily Ever After is the best part of romance for me because real life is hard
