It’s done. * whew *
We’re moved into our new place, and everything’s back to normal again.
* laughs maniacally *
I wish. We took possession of the new place back on February 25th, and then spent two grueling weeks painting, shelf lining, moving boxes and small furniture, and all the other little things you have to do when you move: address changes, purchasing shower curtains, making install appointments, walkthroughs, unpacking all those boxes, and on and on. All while trying to reply to emails and keep at least some parts of the business humming.
Oh, and did I mention I’m running two major events in the next three months?
Although things are not yet back to normal, whatever that is, and won’t be for a while, they have calmed down a bit. This weekend I managed to get mostly caught up on our own biz stuff, and the house now looks more like a home and less like a war zone.
Today I actually breathed for five minutes straight.
I even dipped my toes back into writing, beginning a short story that’s about to be late (sorry Shane!).
So if you haven’t heard from me in a bit, don’t worry. I’m back! And if I am slow to respond to anything urgent, send out the Saint Bernard (if you could put ginger beer in that big barrel around his neck, I’d appreciate it).
Happy reading and writing!
